| IATA Accredited Passenger
Agents Travel Agencies (excl. US) appointed to sell and issue Standard Traffic Documents on behalf of IATA Member Airlines. IATAN Endorsed Agents, US Only Travel Agencies in the US (including its Territories and Possessions) endorsed by IATAN (IATA's wholly owned US corporate subsidiary) to sell and issue international airline tickets on behalf of Member Airlines of IATAN's endorsement programme. Electronic Reservations Service Providers (ERSP) Worldwide, US Excl. Travel Service Providers, registered with IATA, which are established only on the Internet or other on-line services, promoting reservation information in the same format as provided by an IATA Member Airline's system or CRS. The 'ERSP' provides the user with instructions, screen formats, real-time display, booking capability and other information in respect to a travel supplier's inventory. The 'ERSP' provides its user with a reservation facilitation service, and the referral of the user's ticketing requirements to the IATA Member Airlines or its Agents. Cargo Agents, US Excl. (not available in CheckACode.com) Cargo Agents approved by IATA for the promotion, sale, and handling of international air cargo on behalf of IATA Member Airlines. Domestic Agents Travel agencies authorised to sell and issue domestic Standard Traffic Documents within the country of location of the agency on behalf of Domestic Airlines in that country. Countries of operation of this Class of agent are: Australia, People's Republic of China, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Canada, United Kingdom, Greece, Italy and Spain. General Sales Agents (GSA) A travel agency or Airline to whom an IATA Member Airline or a non-IATA Airline has delegated general authority to represent it for the purpose of sales of passenger and/or cargo air transportation in a defined territory and who is remunerated accordingly. Member Sales Offices (MSO) A city or airport ticket sales office operated by an IATA Member Airline. Scheduled Airline Ticket Offices (SATO) Companies providing contract services to Airlines and require IATA numeric codes to identify the issuance of transportation documents on behalf of the Airlines for whom they are contracted. Handling Agents and Shipping Lines Companies providing contract services to Airlines and require IATA numeric codes to identify the issuance of transportation documents on behalf of the Airlines for whom they are contracted. Travel Industry Designator Service (TIDS) Non-IATA travel agencies (excl. US) assigned IATA numeric codes for identification in industry reservation systems when selling industry products and services. Travel Service Intermediaries (TSI), US Only Non-ticketing travel agencies in the US assigned IATA numeric codes for the purpose of identification in industry reservation systems when selling industry products and services. ARC's (Airlines Reporting Corporation) Reservations Service Providers (RSP), US Only Code numbers assigned by IATAN for external registrars within the US. ARC's Electronic Reservation Service Providers (ERSP), US Only Code numbers assigned by IATAN for external registrars within the US. ARTA (Association of Retail Travel Agents)'s Travel Retailers Universal Enumeration (TRUE), US Only Code numbers assigned by IATAN for external registrars within the US. ASTA (American Society of Travel Agents)'s Travelsellers.com, US Only Code numbers assigned by IATAN for external registrars within the US. |
